Prioritize and follow through

July 12, 20252 min read

It’s easy to believe you’re “bad at follow-through.”
That you’re just a procrastinator.
That your week got away from you—again.

But here’s the truth I coach high-capacity women to recognize:

You’re not lazy. You’re overloaded.

You’re juggling ideas, responsibilities, and expectations—but without a clear process for translating those into action.

That’s why I use a tool every week that gives my mind and schedule the structure it needs to stay clear and consistent. I call it:
The Priority Planning Sheet.

And it’s not your average to-do list.

What Makes This Different?

This isn’t about dumping 27 tasks onto a list and hoping you find time.

The Priority Planning Tool helps you:

  • Capture everything that’s swirling in your mind

  • Group them into clear categories

  • Time-block what matters into your actual week

  • Align your tasks with purpose (via cues, rewards, and your “A-TEAM” support system)

  • Identify what will motivate real follow-through (pain + pleasure)

It’s how you go from well-meaning intentions to actual results—without burning yourself out or losing focus.

Here’s How I Use It Each Week:

  1. Download + Print the sheet. I like to use Sunday evenings or Monday mornings.

  2. Sort by category and assign clear action steps (Section 1–7). Mine are: home, self-care, business, volunteer

  3. Brain-dump it all. No filtering. Just get it all out.

  4. Identify the cue and reward that will help anchor the habit.

  5. Fill in your A-TEAM—who’s keeping you accountable or inspiring you this week?

  6. Use time-blocking to make space for what matters.

  7. Check your pain and pleasure motivators. What are you moving away from this week? What are you moving toward?

Once it’s on the page, it’s no longer in your head.
And once it’s in your schedule, it has a shot at actually happening.

Want to Try It?

I’m gifting you the exact sheet I use and share with clients.

Whether you’re balancing business goals, family life, or your own healing journey—this sheet will give your brain and your week the structure to succeed.

Pro Tip: After you’ve filled it in, go back and highlight your Top 3 most meaningful actions for the week.

Not everything has to be done. But something has to move you forward.
